Overview

Backend Engineers at Framer work on our APIs and services, supporting a product that has realtime collaboration on an infinite canvas, can publish a website in under a second and optimize it in under 10 seconds. You work on a microservices architecture with services for authentication, teams, payments, assets, hosting and many more.

What you will do

As a Jr Backend Engineer at Framer, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to many engineering projects. You are eager to improve the breadth and depth of your programming skills. Since Framer is a dynamic startup, your role will change over time. Here’s an idea of the things you’ll be doing.

• Collaborate closely with other engineers and designers
• Learn to design, build and maintain API endpoints that support the main logic of the application
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the production environment, working with more senior engineers to find solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Write unit tests and assist in the development of automated testing suites.
• Take responsibility in- and outside of your role to make yourself indispensable to the team

What we are looking for

• A degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience with Go and/or TypeScript
